Next meeting is tomorrow at 10AM. They still don't have the agenda up on the county site so I have no idea what the new language may be. I will be there tomorrow to follow up again. Maybe I'll bring up the Sheriff overcharging for LTCF's as well.

Victory. There was a new ordinance passed today which totally did away with any firearms rules except for discharge. Now we just need the sheriff to acknowledge that firearms are legal in county parks. He is last on record saying that firearms are not allowed in the park.

Awesome. I watched the video of the Commissioner's meeting and I'm glad they got right with the law. I would love to know what their love affair with the NRA is though, just read the UFA and follow it, it doesn't seem to be any more complicated than that.

As for the Sheriff, he can be voted out.

    Again, good job.

Or, if he decides to enforce a now-nonexisting ordinance, he can be sued.

I wasn't able to make any of the inconveniently timed meeting, but I did toss several hundred megajoules worth of electrons their way.

I did also mention that the sheriff was overcharging for LTCF's. They said they were aware of the issue but that I had to deal directly with the Sheriff about it, they wanted nothing to do with it. When I asked them where the money would come from if refunds had to be issued, they said it would come from the Sheriff's budget.
