I periodically carry some of my NFA items.

you may carry, loaded, in a vehicle, or concealed on your person, the following items under yer LTCF:

A pistol or revolver with a barrel less than 15"
a shotgun with a barrel less than 18"
a rifle with a barrel less than 16"

that being said, like many things that are 100% legal, it may not be the wisest thing to do, depending on circumstances.

also be aware that a lot of LEOs are completely ignorant about many legal issues they SHOULD know... so expect a hassle when you run into one of those.

when I DO carry one, i carry a copy of my NFA paperwork, AND a copy of the UFA that designates what firearms are ok under the LTCF.

I suggest you do the same.

its either a full auto, which has no barrel length restrictions, or a SBR..?

I actually just printed out all of the Uniform Firearms Act rules/regulations to keep with me.

FA is FA regardless of it's dimensions under the NFA. But for a FA to qualify for loaded vehicle carry it has to fit the dimensions prescribed in the PA UFA which just happen to be the same as SBR's and SBS's.
