1) I don't even know how to add new smileys to vBulletin, I'd have to learn that
2) I would have to figure out how it is impacted by the fact that our web servers are load balanced across multiple machines, I would most likely have to install them in multiple places
3) I would also have to take into account that many of the shared resources like that are cached onto a mounted NFS drive that all web servers share.
4) I already have about a thousand "just a 3 minute job"s on my plate that are far more important than smiley faces.

I'm not trying to be difficult, just honest. I simply can't take every suggestion people come up with and roll with it right away. Even if I agree with the suggestion, I have to prioritize my work.

This is not a priority, sorry.

I understand, but load balancing smilies that probably aren't even 500kb for an entire pack...it's not like it's a huge huge image hog and/or you're running a multiple custom themes that need to each have their own tweaks.

I know how to do it, I've been a vB admin on a few sites


I know you're busy, just figured I'd ask if you had an update for us. Sayin no, or saying it will have to wait is better than saying nothing in almost every case.
