Philadelphia police were occupied with a variety of shootings across the city overnight Thursday into Friday. * three of the victims were in critical condition at Temple University Hospital, but police say none of the shootings are related.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police say a 20-year-old U.S. Marine was shot and critically wounded early Friday during a robbery in North Philadelphia.
The man was struck in the stomach during the incident at 21st and Norris streets around 1:40 a.m., and he was rushed to Temple University Hospital.
Police said a suspect approached the victim and a friend, showed a gun and demanded money. When the victim refused, the gunman opened fire.

Two 16-year-old boys were shot outside of a home in the Germantown section of Philadelphia about 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
One, shot multiple times on the 4800 block of Green Street, is in critical condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center. The other, shot twice in the left shoulder, is in stable condition at Temple University Hospital. Police said the motive is unknown, and they have made no arrests.
In Feltonville, shortly after 5 a.m., police found a 30-year-old man beaten to death with an unknow object on the 4600 b

Just after 1 a.m., police responded to 5700 Rodman St., where a 53-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to the head, a shoulder, and a leg. The man, who was not identified, was pronounced dead about a half-hour later at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Two men were seen fleeing. A .357-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver belonging to the victim was recovered.

Apparently, this brings us up to 200 Homicides for 2010.
Philadelphia Police are searching for suspects in connection to a deadly shooting at a block party in the city's Logan section. The deadly incident happened at about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 4700 block of N. 13th Street.

An argument over a woman *ding* sparked a gun battle *ding* on a Southwest Philadelphia street *ding* early Saturday, leaving one man dead and four others wounded.
About 12:10 a.m.*ding*, police said, a burgundy Cadillac *ding* pulled to the corner of 65th and Chester, and a woman emerged from the car. Two men who were standing on the corner exchanged angry words with the driver and two male passengers, then pulled out guns and fired.
The men in the car fired back, police said.
As the driver tried to pull away, he was shot in the neck and lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a parked car.
Tawayne Foster, 21, later died of his injuries. The four other men, whom police declined to identify, were wounded. They were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
In all, police said, more than two dozen shots were fired.
Police were analyzing shell casings found at the scene to determine what type of weapons were involved. The investigation was continuing, and police said the gunmen would likely face criminal charges.
