    Default Bank robbery in Trappe

I'm guessing most people in the area haven't heard about this since it wasn't covered in the news or papers. There was a bank robbery at the Univest bank on 7th and Main in Trappe on Monday, Oct. 1. The state police will neither confirm or deny if there was a robbery. I contacted the editor of the Pottstown Mercury and they can't get anywhere either.

My question is...why is this such a secret? Trappe doesn't have local police so that jurisdiction falls under the state police. Is this standard procedure for them? We hear about Philadelphia bank robberies all the time.

It was mentioned in the press, but not locally to where it happened. I found this article about a Horsham robbery, that also mentions the Trappe robbery.

Tell Me about it. There was a bank robbery in Lansdale right before christmas that led to a car chase which ended in a crash in Plumsteadville, Bucks County and it never made the news. Only a small blurb in the paper and that provided no information about it.

What is the secret? I guess they want the suburbs to feel safe. That way they have a better case when they try to take our guns.
