Short search term restriction make search hard to use

The restriction on short search terms makes the search function useless to HK guys.
For example it is impossible to search for any of the following in the classifieds:
HK SL8
HK P30
HK

The forum search should error out on results that are too common (for example "the")but not on things that are short but uncommon for example "HK"
