Remington 870 hands down. affordable and possibly one of the best shooting pump shotguns ever built. i read a magazine article where the author described all of his fancy hand made Italian shotguns and then went on to tell how the Remington 870 will perform right up there with the best of them. my father has and some day i will inherit my grandfathers 870 wing master that was probably made in one of the first 5 years they were made. i can tell you that it is one of the most true pointing shot guns I've ever used. i never use the front sight i just look at what i want to shoot (usually ring necks or grouse) and they fall from the sky every time. mossbergs are nice but they have nothing on Remington. also the Remington is just as customizable as the Mossberg.

Someday, right now I learning the gun on the table trap range, I'd like to try skeet, 5 stand and sporting clays as I get better. How is Olympic skeet different?

Targets go faster, they're slightly flatter, 0-3 second random delay from call to the bird being thrown, and you start low-gun (can't move until the bird it thrown). The targets are also thrown in a different order. Station 4 lasts forever (6 targets).

I've been doing the low gun thing off and on and a guy gave me a pile of flatter, harder birds as well as some mini's to shoot one day.

    Thanks for the info.
