Replacing hand guns sights?
Is this something that should be left to a gunsmith or can Joe Sixpack handle this?
It's for a Kimber Ultra Carry II.

Re: Replacing hand guns sights?
Depends on if Joe Sixpack has a gun vice, set of punches, mallets, pliers, and other basic metal working tools. If he has all of these and patience, then I'd say it should be safe to try it himself.
Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

Re: Replacing hand guns sights?
Before I had the necessary tools, it cost me $10 for labor to have the sights on my Kimber Custom II changed, and nary a scratch on the gun. If you can't do it without scratching the finish, you're going to spend way more than $10 to get it refinished.
