Thanks for this update, as we all should be watching this bill closely.
And it makes me nervous to think this might pass.

Time to write Sen. Specter, as he's the ranking member of the Judiciary; if this Bill makes it to the floor, the Democrats might be able to muscle it through into law.

First this is a House bill, Specter has no say in it right now. Second, calling Alien Sphincter is about as helpful as beating your head against the wall. The Dems may be able to get this through the House but with the new verbiage I believe that Bush will veto it. Even if it gets through the House though there is no guarantee that it will make it through the Senate. I would bet that it will have a higher chance of passage in about two years.

    OK Folks,

We DO have an actionable item here:

    Rep Fattah, Chaka [PA-2] - 3/7/2007

First off, all you in the 2d, call, write, visit and any other means make your displeasure known. The rest of us, contact YOUR Rep. I'm sure the state reps have caucus meetings, Have them put preasure on this trator. Ask them kindly to remind her, she works for and at the whim of the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, not the Democraptic party.

My apologies, didn't realize both the House and Senate each had separate Judiciary committees. Guess I need a civics refresher course.

Talking to Fattah would be a whole LOT like beating your head against a wall. He is a big city, government knows best, democrat and doesn't care one iota whos rights he steps on. He is as anti as Chuckie "the schmuck" Shumer and there is no possibility that he will change his mind. The really scary part is that his whole district is the same way, it is all the fault of the guns that the young men in that district are killing each other, it has absolutely nothing to do with the drugs and lack of solid leadership.

Gee, could it have something to do with party affiliation?
