    Default Took a friend today

Took a friend to the range today....they do own several guns, but she's never shot anything more than a pellet gun. Her husband is not comfortable with getting the guns out since they have kids. Anyway I took her to the range, started out with my Ruger SR22 pistol and we shot through a box of ammo with that...then I let her shoot my LC9 and then last, one mag through the LCP w/CT. I'm trying to talk her into getting her LTCF eventually, because we are working on a business (more news on that later, in planning stages now) and I won't always be there when she is. Anyhoo.... she didn't like my long trigger pulls on the LC9 and LCP, but its okay....eventually she can choose a weapon she is more comfortable with (maybe one they already have, not sure what those are.)

Oh and I had my private shooting lesson last week and that was great (except I did do something really dumb, of course, right in front of the instructor, that shall remain unmentioned!!!!). He said I was doing well. Am going to schedule one more in April to work on drawing from the holster and shooting.

Back to my friend...she forgot to bring her glasses but she still shot pretty good at 5 yards and even 7 yards! I say for her first time, and no glasses (other than my safety ones of course) she was hitting pretty decent groups on the targets!!!!!! She went home today to try to talk her husband into going back with her sometime. Hopefully they will start going!

Sounds like a good outing and I am glad to hear it!

I have been trying to get people to go with me for ever but between me working 3rd shift and them working 1st or 2nd, its hard.
