Charles Daly Honcho Question
So, what's the deal with these little guys? Is the Charles Daly Honco a decent shorty? Price seems pretty good for a fun gun compared to the Mossberg Shockwave and Remy Tac14. The big question is, can I change the bird head grip out for a traditional grip and maybe even a pistol brace (SBA3)??

Re: Charles Daly Honcho Question
Well be warned they are very light, so recoil is going to be hefty. With changing out the grips (assuming you can find any that will fit it) you're going to need something that keeps the overall length longer than 26".
There is one giant advantage of the Honcho over the Remington and the mossberg though

The detachable magazine version is a hell of a lot better

Re: Charles Daly Honcho Question
You can’t put a pistol grip on it, alone. The bird’s head gives it the minimal length.
You can, however, use the pistol grip with an arm brace. That will allow it to meet the minimal length requirement.

You need to be very careful with modifications to these 12ga "firearms " as not to run afoul of the NFA.

Remington makes a detachable magazine version of the TAC14 as well. It's obviously out of stock everywhere but they do hypothetically exist. https://www.rkguns.com/remington-mod...gun-81348.html

Re: Charles Daly Honcho Question
I love my 20 guage Honcho! Small, fits nicely in a duffle bag, managable recoil and surprisingly accurate, despite the noise and supposition that you read on the net.
My neighbor has the .410 and it is equally cool and easy to shoot. I'm not a fan, however, of the auto-return slide.
Personally, I would not want to shoot one over 20 guage. My 20 is just at the limit of being managable. I haven't tried one, but I imagine that a 12 guage would be too much to handle.Sed ego sum homo indomitus
