    Default AR trigger/hammer pin question

So I got my AR lower yesterday (Thanks Gropa for the transfer ) and I installed the FCG that I have for my project (thanks Cheeseybacon).

I wanted to know a few things.

    1. I am guessing it matters which direction you install the pins from. I installed them from the left side (side with serial number) with the notches in the pins going in last. Did I do this correctly?

    If so...

should these pins be rotating when the trigger is pulled? I was doing function check and noticed them rotating.

Just figured I would ask...not sure if this should go in gunsmithing forum or not.

It shouldn't matter what side you put them in from. I would try to put them in going in the same orientation (notches on the same side). Make sure that the hammer spring engages the notches to the trigger pin.

Yes, it is normal for the pins to rotate when the trigger is pulled.

Thanks, I installed them correctly then.

Rest of the parts I need are on the way. This will be done soon

I took it apart to make sure I had it installed correctly.

I had the hammer spring in incorrectly, putting a very light layer of clp on the pins and installing the hammer spring correctly, I now have hammer/trigger pins that do not rotate during use
