Palmyra Sportsmens Assoc. (New membership question)
What is the process for becoming a member? I did email them asking this, but I was curious to see if anyone knew this here? Is this a once a year sign up type club? Or can I sign-up anytime? If you can sign-up anytime, how long does it take to be able to shoot? My idea would be that becoming a member could take weeks to months, which will be fine for me as I heard this is one nice club, but I am interested in knowing.
What has spawned my urgent need to shoot is that I recently purchased another pistol and I'm dying to test it out. Since I moved from Lancaster a couple years back I haven't put any efforts in finding another range until now.
Thanks for any information,

Re: Palmyra Sportsmens Assoc. (New membership question)
You have to fill out an application and submit it wit $80.00, (renewal is $65.00), then it has to be accepted at a meeting. Your application will be sent to you in the mail. I think their meetings are the third Tuesday of each month. I could hook you up with an application.
PM coming your way.

Re: Palmyra Sportsmens Assoc. (New membership question)
From reading other threads related to this club I had an idea you would be the first to repond! Thanks for information and the application, I will get started on that today.
On a side note, do you know of any place I can go to test how this new pistol shoots in the mean time? Back when I did not have a home (range/club), I tried a public range and I was far from impressed. Not too mention all of the odd rules (3rd cap, etc..). My only other option is to see if I can meet up with my friend in York and shoot at his farm but our work schedules are hard to match up.
Thanks again

Re: Palmyra Sportsmens Assoc. (New membership question)
If you get them the application on Tuesday of the meeting like I did you'll have your card by Friday. Be advised it's almost time for the deer hunters to mcome out for sight in. My first day,I walked onto the rifle range area with a Garand and a Mosin-Nagant and everybody just kinda looked at me. Every bench had a bolt or lever action except the one that I took.
Oh and thanks for your post,I just realized I never got a renewal and my card expires the end of the month.Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff.

Re: Palmyra Sportsmens Assoc. (New membership question)
Membership applications for Palmyra are at the clubhouse. They are in a box at the door, no one has to be there it's outside. Just grab one.
