Lancaster AK-47 clone trigger problem
Okay so maybe I jinxed myself the other day talking about how well my commie guns were treating me, but I have a slight problem. I just switched pistol grips and that went smoothly, but when I did the function test after reassembly I noticed the trigger felt a bit funny. So I do the function test again (trying to fire on safe, trying to fire after one discharge without re-cycling the bolt carrier group, etc.) and the trigger isn't pulling. I start looking around and notice the rivet holding the trigger keeps popping out of the right hand side and the trigger is skewing to the side.
Anyone ever have this type of problem? Any ideas? I am going to switch back to the other grip tomorrow, but I can't imagine how that would change anything. I'm hoping I don't need to send this back to Lancaster.

Re: Lancaster AK-47 clone trigger problem
I had a similar problem after switching grips, it ended up being that the new grip was a tad to long and was getting cought and I had to file it down slighty, not sure if this is your prob or not. here is a pic to help explain.

I vote for your retaining wire not being in the slot on the trigger axis pin.
The shepards crook replacement plate is an awesome part to save you from loosing your mind. But (if it is the wire) you should be able to put it back together. The resident Saiga snob

Re: Lancaster AK-47 clone trigger problem
This may be what it is. I thought the wire looked a bit wonky when I took it apart to see what the hell was going on. I'll have to break it back down when I get home to see if I can figure out where the wire is supposed to be and what it is supposed to look like. Thanks. Maybe I can find a picture online for reference.

Re: Lancaster AK-47 clone trigger problem
This is what a retaining wire looks like inside the gun, take note that the pins are depressed fully so that there is a groove inside the receiver to seat the wire into.
And this is some options depending on the wire type, the picture above is setup in "method 3"

Re: Lancaster AK-47 clone trigger problem
The 10 cent fix:
Incidentally, some builds use a longer wire that goes over the cross pin, under the hammer pin, over the trigger pin. Whatever works.
