Cabela's sunday gun purchase

Anyone ever buy a gun on a sunday from Cabela's? Is it an going to be a nightmare?... never actually bought a gun on a sunday from anywhere let alone cabela's

any info would be great

Sundays in and of themselves aren't necessarily bad, but I've heard less than flattering things about Cabelas wait though. Have bought elsewhere on a Sunday and never had to wait more than normal...say 20-30 minutes.

It doesn't matter when the PICS instant check takes 19.5 hours.

Go as early as possible. I've heard from a few FFLs lately that the earlier they do them, there's usually less of the ridiculous delays to come back.

As already mentioned. Unless they changed their business practices, plan on spending the whole day there until the PIC check clears.

Absolutely Cabelas is always slow regardless of day or time. Two hours min.

They make the process take as long as possible to increase the possibility of you spending more money there.

You should buy 7 or 8 so you can get a friendly visit from the PSP an the AFT

I've bought 3 from Cabelas, never on a Sunday. Their system sucks, average time was 3 hours. They were the only ones that had what I wanted which is why I went back for numbers 2 and 3.

They have a nice lounge you can wait in.
