Does anybody know where to get...
those long "pipe cleaners" used to clean the gas tube of an AR15? Or is there something else that I should use?

You shouldn't use anything. The gas tube doesn't need cleaned. If you have your heart set on it, try Sherluck but DO NOT use any type of solvent or cleaning agent. Run the pipe cleaner through dry.

Re: Does anybody know where to get...
solvents are fine for the gas tube...I myself use carbon cutter for carbuerators and such.
even better is GM top end cleaner.
the spray carb cleaner from Walmart at 99 cents a can is 4 times the size of a can of gunscrubber, and contains the same stuff.
it rapidly evaporates, and will clan carbon and old burned oil out of the action and gas tube.
the long pipe cleaners are only if you think you have an obstruction really."Oderint Dum Metuant" - BMFH

The gas tube does sometimes get a little bit of carbon build up in it. Depends more on what ammo you use. I clean it as I normally use cheap ammo.
