    Default Compact ideas

I have been used to glocks for a while and the other tacti-cool options. I would like to consider something else. I love the looks of 1911's now, never used to. I think its because I got tired of not having a hammer on the glock.

What are the options in the $300 range for a compact pistol, maybe in .45, with a hammer. Silver and black would be nice.

I am thinking Taurus might have something for me. Opinions?

    Thumbs up Re: Compact ideas

you can check on Para ordinance, they made awesome 1911's,even compact ones like the warthog or Para carry, they come in various calibers but if you want to go 45 they come in 14+1,12+1,or just 7 rounders, the hawg comes even in 9 mm,12+1.or u can go 45 with the small hawg in 6+1 or 10+1,just visit www.parahawg.com/litehawg ,you can find a variety of 1911's to choose from,I personally carry a G27 in 40sw with +1 mags and have some G22's mags +1,a G27 carrying 17 rounds is not bad at all and for regular go around just a P3AT in .380 with magtechs hollow points,is like they said,9mm short,a good round for all around.....but again if you are in the $300 range, check the RIA 1911's,real good 45's for the price way better than the phillipines shooters ,check on RIA's...

My new Ruger LCP .380 just came in this week.
A bit smaller caliber than I would like. (used to my .45's) But you can't beat this concealment. It guarantees you take it EVERYWHERE. My Kimber with night sights can stay under the bed for things that go bump in the night.
