Major malfunction !!
I finally got time to shoot my new G 36 Saturday .I put about 45 or so rounds
down range, and it just stopped ejecting.I shot the first seven mags and the next mag,got 3 shots off and it wouldn't eject.I cleared the the gun,put another full mag in,got one shot off,and it didn't return to full battery.
This happened three times and would not eject at all.
Anybody out there have a G36 to compair this to ?? Below is a picture with what appears to be a bent extracter??
Any feed-back on this would be helpful and again, thank you !!

Re: Major malfunction !!
Thats the ejector. The extractor is part of the slide assy.
Looks like a normal new type g36 ejector to me. They are bent from the factory. The old model G36 was not.

Re: Major malfunction !!
Looking at your photo, If I am not mistaken that is your Trigger
mechanism housing with "ejector" ? I am looking for some notes in
my Glock Manuals and Notes, looking for a probable cause.FUNDAMENTALS

Re: Major malfunction !!
Service Procedures and Diagnostics from Glock Armorer's Manual:
Observed Problem: Failure to Eject or Erratic Ejection (Including Stove Pipes)
Probable Causes: Broken or damaged ejector, Underpowered Ammunition,
Dirty Chamber, Lack of lubrication, Dirty Gun.
Correction: Replace trigger mechanism housing with ejector, Change ammunition, Clean chamber, Lubricate, Clean.
This is about the best I can provide. Maybe there would be "deeper" info
available on one of the various Glock websites.FUNDAMENTALS

Re: Major malfunction !!
Well thanks for your feed back. The gun is brand new.I picked it up the day before Thanks Giving and that's the first time the gun was ever fired. It's a habit with me to field strip, clean the coppery stuff off, blow the whole thing
out with air, inspect and lube. The mags do seem a little tight but it's not a feed issue,it's an eject problem.I'm resonably certain it's not a limp-wrist issues either, having seven other Glocks, a G17-19-26-20-29-30-36,I'm quite
used to shooting them all.
The new G36 seemed problematic from out of the box .I posted in another thread about a week ago, that there seemed to be way too much "side to side,up and down, end play", in the muzzle end of the slide.I do expect some slop, but this seemed to be in excess.I showed the local gun shop and he said it was fine.Well,it ain't fine.I had three different brands of ammo,it didn't matter,it wouldn't eject.Smyrmna,Here I come, let Glock take care of this.
Thanks again.Last edited by dman; December 7th, 2008 at 07:42 PM.

Re: Major malfunction !!
I was thinking it was placed there for "Picture" imaging, isolating the
problem area of the ejector when taken with a flash. I think the gentlemans
expierence with his various Glocks. Maybe I am wrong.FUNDAMENTALS

Re: Major malfunction !!
what do you mean "would not eject"? Do you mean it didn't extract (ie, the brass staying in the chamber)? Did it stovepipe?
