Re: The Wait Begins
Oh Ronnie, believe me...I have been looking at your thread. You are at the end of the process that I just started a week ago..needless to say I am quite jealous..haha! I fell in love with a 10" handguard with a 10.5" barrel with the Noveske....and seeing as I have 3 months to drool and save money.....I just did it. I ordered a set of Troy BUIS on Saturday as well. It will be a fun wait.
Thanks,
The Capn'

Re: The Wait Begins
Well, 3 months into the wait and the paperwork just went pending on the 24th of February....probably at least another month to wait. But as mentioned in a previous post, this has given me time to shop. So the Aimpoint ML2 in the Larue mount is sitting waiting patiently along with the Troy BUIS's and the Young Chrome BCG. All of the other parts are waiting at my gun shop up in Frackville...except for the barrel...should be there soon.
Also, one LMT 10.5" upper is already on its way...to a friends house who has registered SBR's......that one is staying KISS and unmolested....I just need another BCG, charging handle, plastic forend and LMT BUIS for that and it will be ready to go...as soon as the paperwork gets back.
I would have spent far less money if the tax stamp showed up in like 2 weeks instead of 4 months....

Re: The Wait Begins
Good news.
I am still waiting for my paperwork to go pending.
They cashed my check on January 16th and it is not in the system yet.
When I called last week, one receptionist told me that they were still working on paperwork from December. So I probably have another month for mine.
Damn, this waiting around is brutal...ZRT -SECTOR-7

Re: The Wait Begins
I still haven't completely decided to abandon my efforts on an F1 can yet. But I don't intend to start the paperwork until I know for sure that I'm going to go for it.
With no specific requirement for a completion date, I'm really torn. Then name Phantom is already taken for a can.

Re: The Wait Begins
Just so you know, that stubby little lower has a happy new home. I haven't had a chance to shoot it (probably tomorrow or Monday), but here is how it went together for me. The best news of all was my box from Midway with the BUIS and the dot scope came the same day. I am definitely going to have to get a higher mount for the scope though!
And next to my M4 for length comparison...
