    Default Just picked up a new toy...

    Just picked up a Marlin 1894c lever in .357.

    I was looking for one now for a while, and although this one has no blue left to it, it will make a nice restored piece once I finish with it. Paid $150 and that is pretty low compared to the $500 + ones I seen lately.

    This is what one should look like, mine presently is mainly buffed down, I will prolly finish it in a parkerized black.

    Also picked up a Security Six like new! Think i am going to need to stock up on .357 soon.

    $150 is a damn good deal... you're lucky I didn't see that Marlin for that price before you did.

    $ 150 eh? Great job!

    I too have a Security Six. Great gun that you can someday pass to your grandkids.

    Like Lor, a lever is in my future too. Let us know how you like it in .357 I've considered 30-30 and maybe .45 but not .357..... interesting.

    Sweet deal, is it one of the ported models? I have always wanted one of them.

    Actually, I was wanting a .357 for the main reason I can carry my rev and the lever and have just one bullet caliber. This will shoot 38, 38+P and .357 just like the revolvers. Next time maybe a single Six rev so i can do cowboy shoots. Allegheny River Arsonals also had a lever 20 Gauge i looked at, but thats enough toys for one day
