"Interesting" form responses from NJ politicians regarding AWB
I don't believe a word they say but at least they are not as strong as Casey's. By the way, I have family in NJ and I used their address.

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding gun control following
the heartbreaking calamity in Newtown, Connecticut. We share concerns
about the safety and well-being of our children as well as our fellow
community members. As we both know, New Jersey has among the strictest
gun control laws in the nation.
As such, as we move forward following the horrific events in Connecticut
and before that, Colorado, I believe we have to consider broader
societal issues such as mental health. Furthermore, I am looking into
addressing and building upon existing school programs and partnerships
that support childhood development as well as school safety.
Thank you again for contacting me on this matter of mutual interest. If
I can be of assistance to you in the future on this or any other state
issue, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
Sincerely,
Senator Tom Kean
Somewhat bizarre response, is he advocating spending on education or gun control or was he drinking?

Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns regarding additional firearms legislation in the wake of the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Your opinion is very important to me, and I appreciate the opportunity to respond to you on this critical issue.
As the father of two, this tragedy struck painfully close to my heart and painfully close to the heart of every parent. No parent should ever have to bear the unspeakable pain of losing a child, especially to this type of tragedy. I join with every American in expressing our deep and abiding grief as a nation and our deepest -- most heartfelt -- condolences to the families of the victims.
As your Senator, I strongly defend the rights of citizens to use firearms responsibly for recreational purposes or protection of one's family and home. At the same time, I vigorously support efforts to keep guns out of the hands of individuals that wish to use them against society.
Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. On this, as with any other issue, there are many different views. Please be assured that I will keep your views in mind. I invite you to visit my website (http://menendez.senate.gov) to learn more about how I am standing up for New Jersey families in the United States Senate.
Basically he said nothing here.

Re: "Interesting" form responses from NJ politicians regarding AWB
It's sad, but all the politicians appear to no longer care about those they are supposed to "serve". I guess they all serve only themselves anymore.. Hell, it's probably been this way since the begining at some level or another. But today, it seems so much more pronounced. IMO, those against gun control only do so to get gun owners to vote for them and those for gun control only do so to get the hysterical among us to vote for them. Right now, the hysterical are the loudest and therefor get the most massaging in a preconstructed form letter. That form letter is evidence enough your elected representative doesn't give a crap about you as a constituant. In their eyes, you only exist to pay taxes so your overlord can appropriate them in the way that will get him the most votes the next time elections come around.
I don't believe any of them take their oath seriously anymore.

I'd say that 95 out 100 fit your description. There are few, at least initially, who have best intentions. The other 95 make me angry and sick as do those who think nothing of spitting on the 2nd amendment.
