    Default quick opinion

ok i have a springfield xd9mm auto. I love the gun its got very low recoil etc... i was thinking about trading it in for a 357 magnum with a 4 inch. barrel. I think even a 357 mag would be easier to conceal, and i can still use it for work.(Im in the armor truck service.). i know i could still use my 9 for work also but i would like to hear some others peoples opinion about revolvers to autos. everyone i know is either pro revolver or pro auto so i can get an unbiased opinion.

    thank you

I say keep the XD and look for an older used revolver.

don't think i'd trade an XD for a .357 but that's just me. I say keep the XD, get a revolver, and have them both

being as unbiased as i can, i think a semi is more concealble than a revolver, just due to the flat profile of a pistol as opposed to the bulge of revolvers. some people pocket carry .38 snubbies, but i think small flat .380s are flatter. then again, i don't worry too much about concealing, anyway, but i'd keep the XD. why not just get the 357 and keep the 9mm anyway?

A semi would be easier to conceal unless a small J frame. As other have stated, why not keep the 9mm and save up for a used revolver.

How else will you ever get a collection unless you collect!

Using the right tool for the right job is often a subjective personal preference. Which gun are you most comfortable with and are able to use under stress most efficiently?.........that is the one I would use!

Keep the XD, buy the 357.....and find a use for both of them.........if nothing else, you are adding to a fine collection!

    Best of luck!

I CC an XD40 with no problem at all, but then again I am 6' 230. I would agree with others on here. If possible, keep the XD and look for a .357, if you can afford a 2nd firearm. Then you will be starting a collection and you will have options as to which you can carry depending on the time of year and clothing worn. One firearm may not fit all situations. Listen to all the suggestions, but when it comes right down to it, only you can decide which one "works" for you.

Let's keep it to one thread. OC/C seems most appropriate.
