What part of Philly are you in? It would help to know so you can be sent to a place near by. I know that LPR&GC in Audubon, PA has some competitions, as well as Double Action in Yeadon, PA. I also believe that some on the ranges in Bucks county north of Philly do as well.

I am a member of the Philadelphia Archery & Gun Club.
    http://www.philadelphiaarcheryandgunclub.com/
We just had a trophy match this Tuesday. We had 22 shooter, we gave out t-shirts and the first & second place winners got trophies..

We run an IDPA pistol match the second Tuesday of every month.
You do not need a to be a member to shoot, but you do need your own gun, holster, at least 3 mags, concealment (vest, jacket, button down shirt).

There is also Double Action in Yeadon (15-20 min ride)
    http://www.doubleaction.org/portal/i...tpage&Itemid=1

If you want to get into IDPA, here is the official site
    http://idpa.com/

And here is the link for every IDPA Shooting Comp in the North East region of PA
    http://www.nepaidpascores.net/

Langhorne Rod & Gun has pistol and rifle matches
    http://langhornerodandgunclub.org/

Again, you do not have to be a member of any of these clubs to shoot their matches..
