Default Whats the drop on the FN 5.7?

I were wondering if anyone knows what the drop is on the 28 grain bullet out of the 5'7 usg Pistol at 100 yards.?

Right now i'm sighted in at 2 inches high at 26 yards, just would like to know if i would be in the bullseye at 100.

    Thanks, Nyman

That seems like a lot for that round... I don't think you will see as much drop at 100 yds as you might think. If memory serves me that round travels somewhere around 2200-2300 fps... Let us know how you make out.

It looks like, depending on the load, it's like throwing rocks, even with the carbine length barrel. I thought my 45-70 was bad...

According to the chart you probably want your groups to be hitting 2 inches LOW at 25 yards... the bullet is still on the way up when it hits the bullseye at 100 yards.

The bullet will drop beyond 100, but its being launched too fast to drop before that.

That makes sense, i am shooting 195 and 196, seem like the 196 with the heavy 40 grn Hornady Vmax bullet is the best bet, so ineed to sight in lower at -2 inches?
The USG has a 4.8 inch bb while the carbine has a 10 inch bbl, so i wpould imagine the trajectory wouldnt be that diffeent.

I would like to post pictures but i never really learn how to do it , i need to buy a book on the subject.

i'm still a little deaf with severe headaches, i accidentally let off one of these 5.7 indoors without ear muffs, so i'll try to sight in again when i'm feeling better.

    Thanks nyman

the flight path is determined by velocity so it will be different.

Are you serious? I'd imagine it was brutal. Remember..."never play with loaded guns in the house" (j/k)

Ummm, care to elaborate? Heck, that sounds like a thread of it's own.

Computer steve , thats the tricky part about it, based on the chart above the heavier 196 seem to be better down range than the lighter 195, that could only be , i think. to the heavy bullet and not the velocity because the 196 is slower , 1600 fps out of the 4.8 in bbl while the 195 is 2100 fps out of the 4.8 inch bbl.

Oh i didnt touch onre off in the house , i touched one off at the indoor "range" without my ear muffs on , these things are loud.
