ATI makes minor changes, skirts HK/GSG 5 Lawsuit ?

Was checking out AR15.com and stumbled across a thread in their GSG 5 Forum.

Includes pics from this months issue of Shotgun News. Looks like they just made some relatively minor cosmetic changes to get around their recent settlement with HK of the GSG5 copyright issue. Biggest and most noticeable change seems to be the sights. They changed the rear to a slotted drum style instead of the traditional "peep " drum rear on an HK and they basically just cut the hood off the front sight and straightened the sides.

Sure still looks like an HK MP5 at least until your right up close. I already have a deposit on a GSG 5 at a good price, so Im still going to grab it. But Im happy ATI didnt just walk away and will continue to make these.

The only other issue I see possible is will SIG have something to say about ATI using the 522 model number ?
