    Default People shouldnt touch things...

Like the drag adjustment screws on the tool holder for my lathe. Cause then, 2 hours deep into cutting a custom hollow guide rod out of some 420ss, the operator might ever so gently lean on the base of tool rest, and hear the tink of carbide and kapang of metal snapping.

So, any guys got good "who the hell messed with my?!?" stories?

I don't have any about the lathe, but I got a good one about a beard trimmer, lol. One of my friends had worked really hard to grow a nice full beard that he was pretty religious about trimming. His wife had bought him a new beard trimmer for Christmas, one of those that you can twist the head to the number that you want the guard at and then shave. Well apparently one time while one of the 7 year old daughters was in the bathroom she was playing with it. He gets up in the morning and didn't even look to see what the number was set at and started to trim his beard. When a HUGE pile of hair fell out, he noticed what had happened, but it was a bit too late. He was heart broken, lol.

PS: Touching a mans lathe is like man rape. It's not something I recommend.

Well, there's the occasional deranged anti-gun loony who goes into gun shows for the purpose of secretly putting live rounds into the display guns.

Makes me wonder about the prosecution's difficulty, hypothetically, if the vendor snatched the gun away and it "accidentally" discharged, killing the loony, but his fingerprints were on the shell case. Almost a suicide, if you think about it...

Gee Wally, you mean that's why we check and clear every gun we handle, the moment we pick it up, even if it's been sitting on/under a display?

Not customers in any gun shop around here. Hell, I've even seen them take the gun from the salesman's hand and drop the hammer on the chamber to 'check'.

The salesman should hand it to the customer with the chamber open.

    Just saying.

edit- the customer should know better, but the salesman should definitely know better.
