Brad Fox straw purchase law - first sentence
The first sentencing under the Brad Fox Law for a straw purchase in PA has recently come down. You can read about it here
It is a good example of the kind of gun law enforcement that actually can help keep guns out of the hands of criminals.

Re: Brad Fox straw purchase law - first sentence
Holy shit someone properly held accountable for their actions. I almost can't believe it, the law finally applied some common sense. Definitely impressed and in Delaware county too.

Re: Brad Fox straw purchase law - first sentence
From the comments: "I will not go to jail for ANYbody."
That's what it takes to have an effect on that segment of society, the folks who hang with career bad guys and sleep with felons and let gangbangers father their children.
It takes a strong disincentive to persuade a girl that she should risk angering her abusive boyfriend by refusing to buy him the gun that he can't buy for himself. Hearing that another girl is in jail for doing the same thing, will help to sway her.
Some vague claim that "I don't feel right buying that for you" or "it would be wrong", has never done the trick. Seeing that it results in jail time, and your various offspring will grow up without you, MAY have an effect. Although there are still plenty of drug addicts with clean records, who will happily buy you a gun for an extra $50. Not much we can do about them except catch them and stop them.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Do the crime, do the time. Appeal is in progress, this is inhumane.

I had to read this twice - "We are going to seek the minimum mandatory sentencing and you are going to spend time in the state penitentiary," Whelan said"

I was actually a juror the first time they brought the case to court. All I can say is what a fiasco.
