I was never under the impression that England, or any other European country for that matter, was 'free' or was for 'free speach' in the way that we are here in the US. Simliar, yes...but English law hasn't changed much since we formed our country over here, and our constitution was written in a way make sure that we didn't eventually form into them.

“Criticism of Islam, however, has led to violence and murder world-wide.”

The violence and murder is the result of muslim extremists, who detest the infidels. Infidel is just a fancy word for "one who does not believe in your God"

The violence is more slated towards those non-muslim and promoting Islam. I don't think the criticism, or the restricting of it, would have much effect towards quelling the violence and murder world-wide when it comes to extremists and their beliefs.

I don't feel sorry for them either.....
Politicians who fear the people seek to disarm them.

People who fear their government's intentions refuse to be disarmed.

    Sucks to be England..

There in a tight spot.. They're losing the same battle we are. We have everything in Spanish now, and they have a huge Islamic Population...

Though, Crossing the border in England is TAD harder then the Texas border..

Islamic extremism is everywhere. Just check out this site. I have a CD ,
bearing the title "OBSESSION". Check the website: www.obsessionthemovie.
com . They do not like criticism or the "Truth" about themselves. Remember
the rise of National Socialism in Germany in the late 20's and early 30's.
History can be a great teacher. The Brits are headed for trouble. When I watch the program, Questions for the Prime Minister on CNN, Listen to the
liberal socialist. You catch on quickly.

There, fixed it! Islam is not a religion, it is a form of social reform disguised under the trimmings of mysticism.

An excellent overview here. I'm not a big fan of wiki.

It's not a religious issue, it's a freedom of speech issue.

Breezed through it, but I'm familiar enough with history and government to know that England & Europe in general have different enough points of view when it comes to free press and free speech than we do here. That should be obvious, considering what happened to this filmmaker.

Though...since you only provided links I'm not sure if you were disagreeing with me? Assumed you were though
