Need a small carry gun, want opinions
I normally carry an XD45c, but I need something as small as possible to carry where I really don't want anyone to notice it. Don't want to give any more detail where this is, I'll just say it's not illegal to carry there.
I'd like something in at least 9mm, ultra small that I can carry IWB or in pocket if necessary. I've always wanted a PPK, although I've heard it's probably not the most reliable thing out there. Also not too keen on the round it uses. I don't like revolvers, so want to stay away from one of those.
I shot SoberBykers little Kahr 9mm and I liked it alot. Any other suggestions?

I often carry a KT pf9 and love it, mine has been dead reliable through hundreds of rounds. if you have a weak hand or grip then it's not for you as it is VERY light and a loose hold or limp wrist will cause problems.
do your part and the gun is great!MORDENTE MEUM

Personally, I didn't enjoy shooting it in the least, but, nonetheless, you should check out the Walther PPS.
It's about the best combination of variable capacity and slender discretion that I can think of in a current production pistol.

Rohbar (not sure if it's spelled right) is the smallest I know of. But it's expensive and can't handle +p.
I'd say either Kahr CW9 of kel-tec PF-9.
kahr is nicer and reasonably priced.

Re: Need a small carry gun, want opinions
It's spelled Rohrbaugh and lists for $1200. I held one and it felt great. It was my first choice for my pocket gun but too pricy for my pocket. Yes, it isn't +p. Since it isn't intended for anything but a few feet away the lesser power shouldn't really come into play. An accurate double tap won't be hard to do.
I ended up getting a North American Arms Mini. I know the OP wants semi so I won't try to convince you otherwise. Semi was my first choice too but the quality ones were beyond reach, the cheap ones are crap. I needed something fairly quick so I opted for the mini mag revolver. 5 .22 hollow point mags. I love it. Took a bit of practice to get that single front fixed sight figured out but I've got decent groups from 12'. 3"-5" is very tight.
I too had to compromise on size, therefore range. The .22 mag is a formidable round up close. In a perfect world I'd have a 1911 strapped to me anywhere I wanted to go. Then again in a perfect world I'd only need a gun for the fun of it. Such a shame it's only a semi-auto perfect world.

I'm a 9x18 affectionado and suggest either a Russian or East German military Makarov. Second choices would be the Radom P64 or the FEG PA63, all in 9x18.

Hey Kypt how goes it? Haven't seen ya in a while. As you know I had a little trouble with the Kahr, but up until then it was my carry piece, accurate, small and light. A few days ago I switched to my SP101 .357 magnum, a little heavier because it's all metal but the profile is smaller.
I know you say you don't want a revolver but I started a thread on the switch here: http://www.pafoa.org/forum/concealed...tml#post457237 take a look if ya like, complete with photo's of it concealed.
When my Kahr was being repaired I carried my wifes XD9sc, I felt it was too bulky and heavy but definitely a good gun.
Good Luck.

If you have to have at least a 9mm, Kel-tec PF9, very light. But take a look at a Kel-tec p3at, they just melt into where ever you put them, 8.3 oz. empty, 7/8 of an inch wide.
If you want to pay more, a Ruger LCP.Last edited by gf45acp; October 14th, 2008 at 12:32 PM. Reason: sp

I says if you want a 9mm go with the Kel-Tec PF9 or Walther PPS(if you want to spend 600+ dollars) My money is with the PF-9.
OR jump on the Ruger LCP bandwagon....I love mine or Kel Tec P3at

Re: Need a small carry gun, want opinions
I would say a kel tec p3at or ruger. Kel tec 9mm are small as well. I also like the beretta 32.
