Shotgun transport clarification...
Can you have an unloaded shotgun in your truck with an ammo sleeve/side saddle full of ammo attached to the stock? ...or does the ammo have to be seperated from the gun completely?

Re: Shotgun transport clarification...
I think it only has to be completely seperate if it's loaded into magazines.
I don't have the statute handy to post, so lets get the actually wording posted before we start getting false info going.
Does anyone have the Law Handy to post?Adams County Sport Handgunners Association - President

Not correct!
18Pa.C.S.6102
"Loaded." A firearm is loaded if the firing chamber, the nondetachable magazine or, in the case of a revolver, any of the chambers of the cylinder contain ammunition capable of being fired. In the case of a firearm which utilizes a detachable magazine, the term shall mean a magazine suitable for use in said firearm which magazine contains such ammunition and has been inserted in the firearm or is in the same container or, where the container has multiple compartments, the same compartment thereof as the firearm._________________________________________

Re: Shotgun transport clarification...
No statutes reference loose ammo or ammo attached to a side saddle.
See quote from 6102 in the post above. Unloaded means no ammo in chamber or non-detachable mag. (Or loaded detachable mag in same compartment)
A side saddle is not a magazine. IOW: It does not feed the action of the firearm_________________________________________
