Need a 1911 gunsmith
Hello in the Pittsburgh area and I am in need of some 1911 work. My gunsmith Jay Crowder from Elite Custom guns in TN was working on a custom Combat Commander Bobtail for me and was just hurt in an accident. He will be out of commission for a while and my gun is basically done. it is actually on its way back to him from AP&W Cogan where I was having it hard chromed. All of the custom work is done the only thing needed is for the sights to be installed (sight cuts already made) and for the gun to be re-assembled. Cogan sent it back unassembled. does anyone know of a good gunsmith who can just finish my baby off? thanks

Re: Need a 1911 gunsmith
If everything is fitted, assembly is easy and I'm sure there is a youtube video out there.
Sights take some minor filing, but are relatively easy. Let me know if you need a hand.
Gary Natale of Gans Guns is a quality local smith.
