Default HB 1734 - This confuses me!

I just don't understand the need for it. So I'll have to refer back to UFA.

As far as I can tell, they're adding LEOs to the exemption, but I'm no lawyer and I didn't sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night!

Yep! They are in fact making LEOs exempt with regards to sale of firearms. But I don't understand if this means sales between LEOs or any sale by an LEO or any sale to an LEO.

Overall, I believe this one needs to be opposed also.

As much as I tend to support the police, I don't believe that they are "super-citizens" entitled to more rights than you or I. If an officer wants to sell or buy a gun, they should go through the same process as anyone else.

i don't think police are super citizens either, but they do have alot more training than the average citizen and they also have passed psycological exams to become an officer....................

Thats a good one! Always good to start the day with a joke.

Exemption for anyone isn't a good idea. Even though the Brady check is unconstitutional [had to throw that in there].
