    Default Nagant Pistol

I just picked up a Nagant Revolver, price was right so I could not resist. I have not shot it yet but am looking forward to it.
Anyone have any experience with Nagants?

they are a nifty little piece. picked a 1917 marked one up for 50bucks.
do some homework, you don't need the 7.62 nagant for it. irrc .32 s&w short works in it, and then they'res the other cylinders too.
it's only metal, we can out think it....

If you check around on youtube, you can also see videos of silenced Nagant revolvers.

I had one ordered in, you're right, the price was right. Half the cost of the gun was shipping. Got it, thought it was ugly, fired it, thought it shot okay, unloaded it and complained about the time it took, got addicted and love it.

Fun gun to play around with, tough gun to mess up, and trusted by many. Enjoy yourself, good luck getting the 7.62 nagant ammo at a good price tho! Use the .32's. Congrats on your purchase.

.32 mags fit even better, and the gun can handle the pressure. Nice pieces, if a little over-complicated for a revolver.

I have both the regular and the "target" versions. can use 0.32 longs "all day long". The cases will bulge on firing but will drop out and will stand multiple reloads. There are 0.32 ACP cylinders available but they usually require fitting. If you reload using 32-20 cases, make certain that each case you reload will function, before reloading them. The gap between the breech plate and the cylinder when it drives forward on cocking varies often from chamber to chamber but frequently by gun. My regular will swallow anything, the target, only regular Nagant and 0.32 S&W longs. Dave_n
