Smooth the ramp and polish the chamber a smidge. THAT gun is a tight mofo.

I've ran Hydrashoks, Golden Sabers, HST, GoldDots, Winchester SXTs, haven't found one that hangs 'em up yet.

If you get skittish about the feed ramp thing, you may also want to try Fed Expanding FMJ, or the Corbon Powerball, but I would have the ramp worked...

If it don't feed JHPs well, it don't work in my book.

OR you could send it back into Springfield Armory if you don't want to mess with the ramp yourself.

    Regarding the TRP, fantastic choice!

I shoot Hornaday 230g +p XTP/JHP in all my defense .45's don't seem to have a feed or extraction issue with them.

Is it happening on rounds that you have recycled on multiple occasion? Beware of setback on your carry ammo. Hydra's should feed with no problem with good mags. You can also look at your feed ramp and clean it up if needed. How many rounds has it been since you changed your recoil spring?

I carry Federal Premium, Expanding FMJ (200gr, +p). They really do a number to anything they hit. I haven't been able to find anymore since I bought my last batch of 250rds.

I have been hunting for a current production, low cost defense load. I want a round that I can buy for a reasonable cost by the 1Ks. I like to practice with the ammo that I carry.
