Default Good price for a complete AR???

    Hey guys,

I was wondering what is a good price for a complete AR-15 built on a DPMS lower. The rest of the gun is a Del-Ton kit, I think.

I was planning on building one of these, but may opt to just buy this one and use the receivers I bought for more "creative" work.

Anyway, what is a good price to pay for it??? the guy wanted $850 for it right now, and it is slightly used (claimed >500 rounds)???

    Thanks in advance.

Right now that rifle might bring $850 due to the "Sky is falling" meter being pegged at 10.

The Del-Ton upper sells for less than $500 brand new.

A decent complete lower sells for $350 or so.

That rifle brand new might be worth $800 to $850...less being used.

But he will prolly get that money out of it. I know guys that were saving pennies for a LMT rifle and then panic set in and they bought the first Olympic AR they could get a hold of in a local shop.

I'm waiting for things to settle down in early 2009 before I build/ buy my next one.

The only problem I MIGHT see are the folks that will stockpile rifles and parts over the next year or so...to simply double the price if a AWB is passed.

These guys buying 50 lowers and 500 mags are also the same ones bitching about gas prices.

I filled up my tank today on the way home.....the place I stop at is typically low.
I get there and there's a line of Acura's, and BMW's, and Jaguars...all waiting in line to fill up.

Across the street, it's .02$ more per gallon....no line.

    No wonder we got Obama.

complete DPMS ARs sell for less than that, so i can't really see how it could be a good price.

entry level complete DPMS AR is around $725.

Maybe last month they did, but not now. If you can find one in stock, it's likely to be going for $850 or more in my neck of the woods (SEPA).
