Default Gun Safes-Sturdy Safe-Anyone Own one?

Hey guys, I'm in the process of moving to PA from NJ, and was wondering what you guys do for gun safe's up here. I've long contemplated buying one, but the current situation i live in we had a built in vault.

I've looked at the Costco safe's, and the ones at Cabellas and Dicks but none seem to really be something i would keep my collection in. I ran into a company called Sturdy Safe out of California. Does anyone have any input about them?

Or what do you guys do here in PA?

    Thanks,

    John

Have a Fort Knox for 15 years now and am pretty happy with it. DO get the digital lock, IMO. If I had it to do over, I would get the digital over the S&G mechaincal dial just for speed of access alone. The dial is cool, but it gets old when you "just want in" and you miss a number in the sequence. They're pretty accurate and you don't get to miss by much, then you have to start over. Not something you want to do late at night when you REALLY want in.

In Ne PA we just stow them loaded under our kids beds and tell them not too touch daddy's wicked cool boom sticks. Then we pretty much leave it in the good lords hands from there.

All kidding aside we too use gun safes mostly purchased from Cabelas, Sams club(Costco for hill billies), Tractor supply, but never from Dicks. Some also like Craig's list, the boards classifieds don't forget to check the gret deals on VHS tapes that's posted while your at it. The gun safe made its way here years ago and it seemed to catch on and there was much rejoycing.

Don't know much about no safes from Kali-forn-I-A though.

I have had a Sturdy safe for years now.
    Excellent high quality safe.
Very nice people to deal with.
You can talk to the owner before you order if you need something special.
    Not a gold handle
showpiece for the living room but a lot of safe for the money.
Watch their vids on how they build them on youtube or right off their website.

I have one and I think it's a great safe. I had mine delivered to "work" on a loading dock and got a better price. I took it home on a company truck with a lift gate. Talk to them and they will work with you.

They are truly a sturdy safe.

I'm with these guys as I'm a very happy Sturdy Safe owner. I've had mine for over 3 years now and if I had to do it over again I absolutely would purchase the same safe.

With a Sturdy Safe you are paying for thick high quality American steel safe made by Americans in America . I purchased mine without an interior and built my own. It's not a living room showpiece but it is built like a tank. Recommended!

It looks like I'll be picking up a Sturdy Safe when the funds appear then.

I'de rather have the extra steel then a name brand anyways.

I have one. I'm happy with it. When I ordered it I spoke with the owner. He seems like a decent guy. I would recommend a Sturdy safe to anyone looking to get a safe.

Sturdy will give you a dial and a keypad if you want it.

I was really impressed that the entire body of the safe is one sheet of steel. The top and bottom are welded on.
