Automatic Knife Carry
Just curious if any one else has changed up their edc knife with the change of the law in January?

Re: Automatic Knife Carry
I carry a Boker Plus Strike Spearpoint D2 most of the time now. I'm leaving my fancy and expensive Eyetalian autos in the safe. You still have to conscious of the fact Police have no idea about knife laws and an automatic is like a weapon of mass destruction to some. So carry a cheapie for a while.

Re: Automatic Knife Carry
I upgraded to the s35 version of my favorite spyderco tenacious recently. I've carried some form of this knife for a few years and I don't really see any big advantage to going to an automatic. I'm happy they dropped the stupid law thou
though.

Re: Automatic Knife Carry
First I*ve seen of this, thanks for posting about it. Looks like there is no preemption so local government can still have bans. Sucks that on one side of an imaginary line you could be legal, but two feet over on the other side, illegal. Not planning on changing my edc, but good to know that changes have been made at the state level.

Re: Automatic Knife Carry
i do have to agree it was dumb that preemption wasnt included but we all know how well that works for gun laws. cities and towns are always just violating this part.

Re: Automatic Knife Carry
I guess I'm glad I don't live in a big city and don't visit any, I've never run into any issues with carrying a knife in my life. Posted this in the blade thread in the lounge, this was my new setup for EDC - UTX-85

Re: Automatic Knife Carry
I got a Benchmade auto to carry. So far I've cut some cheese with it, put mustard on a cracker and opened a amazon box.
I got it just because I could, I got a drawer full of pocket knives.
