That does it, I want an Iphone
Sorry if this is old news, just found it. The only thing that had me interested in the Iphone before was an astronomy program and the ability to use google earth. But now..

GPS calibrated astronomy software, maps of your current location, weather reports, music, AND a trajectory calculator, complete with a heavy duty case and rail attachment? Now if only they could put an "Aliens" style motion tracker on there we'll be all set for Z-day..

I wonder how the iphone will handle the recoil.

cool concept, but I can only see that working out ok with low recoil rifles.

I don't think mounting it to the gun is required. Probably best not to.
Just mount it to your support-side forearm.Adams County Sport Handgunners Association - President

Re: That does it, I want an Iphone
Having owned one for over a year I have to say they are extremely rugged. I dont see an issue mounting one to a shotgun, let alone a puny ar. Ive dropped it from 10 feet onto concrete a few times and only dented the aluminum case. I use mine for its dyno to test cars HP and for skidpad, so the phone is very precise, even after getting beat to hell and back.
It doesnt look pretty any more, but its still works. Even after the whole beer incident. Sticky...
Anyway whats the name of the program? I dont know if I can use it but id like to play with it if I can.
ETA: Found the program. There are three levels
Bullet Flight1 ($3.99)
Bullet Flight2 ($11.99)
Bullet Flight M (for Military, claims to be currently in use in Iraq by snipers) $29.99
It says it gets the current weather reading from the nearest weather station and updates regularly to give you wind speed in meters per second or MPH and also barometric pressure and humidity. WOW.Last edited by YllwFvr; June 6th, 2009 at 10:08 AM.
