Default "Country's gun-loving tradition has gone too far"

Another deluded liberal drank the Kool Aid and decides in his Patriot News editorial how we all should live. Disarmed- for his safety.

Some people just don't get it. If someone is hell-bent on causing mass casualties, they will do it with or without guns. If you destroyed every single gun in the world a person could still go on a mass murder spree. Are they going to pick up a baseball bat as Bobby Warshaw suggested they would? No. Hell no. They could go to the store and purchase "safe" every day products and conjure up home made mass death. Does that mean we should make all pipes illegal to prevent one from making a pipe bomb? How about diesel fuel and fertilizer? They could be used to create homemade explosives to kill dozens of people at a time. Lets make those illegal as well!!

The above items are purchased and used legally by millions of people every day, just like firearms. All of those things are capable of being used for good or bad. Why single out firearms???

Gun-loving tradition gone too far? Seriously? He has obviously forgotten what the men and women that founded this country went through. This country is what it is because of that gun-loving tradition. It's in everyone's best interest to never forget that.

At the end where the comments were I didn't see one comment that supported his veiws. That's pretty damned funny if you ask me.

There were many right minded responses posted. Since I couldn't add anything of significance, I thought I'd give the young fellow a little advice:

"Son, if you graduated from college, you should seriously consider asking for your money to be refunded. Seldom do I see such inconsistent thought and failed reasoning in a professionally written piece,"

Of course, he won't listen to that, either.

"I could explain that we do not have a well-regulated militia, an executive branch that threatens the liberties of its citizens, or the ability to use a militia to secure the security of a free state." ...

Doesn't our ability to activate Marshals Law in a way make us a Militia? Any thoughts from those who may know a little more about it than I do?

I followed the link and read the comments. I wanted to post one of my own but I decided against it.
