That ban has been around for 10, 15, or more years now. No non-sporting semiauto's are allowed to be imported, an even stricter ban on Chinese and Russian semi-auto firearms and ammo.

Even if we could get all of those gun owners to write and repeal the ban do you think that the price will stay at $399.00? This fee, that fee, excise tax, a couple of distributors and middle men will raise it to $600-800!

Re: Norinco M14s $399.00
Nope. Congress doesn't control importation, the President controls importation through BATF(E). This is one of the very few instances where an import ban did us a favor. And the President really isn't intended to answer directly to us, but that gets into the who electoral college thing and I've posted enough about that topic already.
The Chinese M14 copies aren't USGI, the only noteworthy aspect are the receivers are considered to be very good.

Suggest you consider a homegrown M14 if you're thinking about a '14. They're very well made, even the (gasp) non-Springfield brands.Gloria: "65 percent of the people murdered in the last 10 years were killed by hand guns"
Archie Bunker: "would it make you feel better, little girl, if they was pushed outta windows?"
