CC...in your purse?
We took the drive to West Chester Weds., and I finally applied for my LTCF. Assuming I receive it soon (shouldn't be a problem), the next step is to begin carrying. I'm still working on that idea, still not very confident, but I've been seriously contemplating the cc purses they have out there. Any information either way on them from anyone? I'm just thinking about the pros and cons of carrying that way.
Bottom line, i put my purse down, alot. Sometimes i don't even take it with me if I'm just running into Wawa for smokes or to run a quick errand. I'm sure that owuld change if that's how i was carrying. If something happens, is it going to be difficult to get to? as apposed to carrying on my person? I understand there are bags MADE for this, but how about safety? Am I going to grab for my wallet and somehow ND? any info, like i said pro or con, please. Thanks!

Re: CC...in your purse?
Unless you're really mindful of your purse I wouldn't recomend it.
I'll let the girls chime in on the carry methods that work for them. T-shirt and jeans girls have an easier time. It takes more work to pack heat with different styles of clothng.
Depends on the gun, and what you lke to wear.

Re: CC...in your purse?
We used to stock the CC purses till my wife started working at the shop and mentioned the fact that the biggest threat a woman faces is from a purse snatcher. If you are hit from behind in a grab and run then you not only lose your wallet and other valuables but you also lose your GUN!!
There are MANY ways to CC on your person that are much more secure when faced with the basic worthless bad guy.

Re: CC...in your purse?
You have to kinda be a jeans and t-shirts type LOL, but really if you can wear a belt and a nice loose vest, you can carry on the hip with dressier clothes, but tight stuff isn't going to work. If you like tight stuff on top and looser on down, a smartcarry might be your option. The holster fanny pack is another option. If you like all tight stuff, your gonna have to OC! LOL
LOL, I am a woman...

Re: CC...in your purse?
Never, never, never put anything in your purse that you are not willing to loose!
Carry your gun ON YOUR PERSON! O/C, C/C doesn't matter. Keep it ON YOU!!!
If he wants your purse, give it to him. If he wants your wallet, give it to him. If after that something was to happen, you have your gun on you, its not gone with your purse.
Do anything and everything to keep yourself out of harms way.

My mother uses a fanny pack... It works quite well for her.
Or she'll just slip her P32 into her pants pocket.

Re: CC...in your purse?
We were once out shopping when my oldest was about two or three. My wife had this habit of setting her purse next to the boy in the cart. We shopped for a good hour or so, and went to the cashier. My wife's purse was missing.
We eventually found it. It appeared that the boy decided to set it on a shelf.troll Free. It's all in your mind.

Re: CC...in your purse?
I am not a fan of CC purses but if you absolutely must go that route then be sure to get one that has the metal in the stral so a purse snatcher can not come and cut the strap and run off with it. Also get one that has a lock for the zipper and keep the key on your person although I don't know what good that would do if you had to get to it in a hurry...again, another reason I am not a fan. This is just me and my preference. I figure the first thing that is going to be taken from a woman (and I think someone already mentioned this) is her purse. You can cancel your credit cards but you can't "cancel your gun". Once it's gone you're now responsible for giving that criminal a firearm to use in their next crime.

Re: CC...in your purse?
These responses were exactly what i was expecting. I really don't think carrying in a purse is a smart idea, but like everything else,it's something I'm willing to relatively explore just because I'm new. I have a strong feeling CC is going to be tough for me, only because I don't wear tight clothes but form fitting. I'm too big to drape myself in tshirts all the time without looking even larger. I'm definately not comfortable with OC yet, but then again if i CC and print really bad, what's the point? Ah well, I guess trial and error works too lol.
