CMP reading material?
I shot cmp for the first time today, and my rifle has officially more than 150 rounds through it
While I take the next few weeks to get used to my rifle (im new to shooting rifles more than a round here or there that aren't .22's) and get it sighted in for me, I also want to make sure im learning the right way from the start instead of having to re-learn bad habits later down the line.
Any tips or reading material/videos that might help?
Thanks guys!

Re: CMP reading material?
Congratulations on taking the first step in shooting highpower.
The best source to get questions answered and get information would be the forums at http://www.nationalmatch.us/forums registration is required. I think you will find everyone there very helpful.
Here is a link with some tips http://www.odcmp.com/USAMU/Shooting_Tips.htm.
As far as books, "Modern Highpower Competition" by Randolph Constantine is a great book for beginners. Some of the parts are dated, but there is a lot of great info in it that is presented in an easy to read manner. I think it is out of print and may be hard to find.
CMP has a 3 DVD set called "High Power Rifle Competition Mind Over Matter" that is very good, I would highly recommend getting that if you can.
If you have have any other questions I can probably help ... good luck.
