I suspect it's the nuances, bias has always been in reporting.

Mark Twain is quoted saying something similar to: those that don't read the news are uninformed, and those that do read the news are misinformed.

When reporting on competing intefests and controversy, especially as part of a large organization,it is nearly impossible to convey information without bias toward certain values.

Standard techniques of all religious cults, like the gun control believers, global warming acolytes, pro-abortion and the worst of the special gay rights folks: Dehumanize the infidels, call them names like "racist" and "hater" and "homophobe" and "gun nut" (try Googling "abortion nuts", see how rarely the pro-life crowd uses that). Because if you debate them fairly, you'll lose. You can't back up gun control claims with your own facts, so it's better to silence those facts, and make the other side of the debate just disappear.

The left argues that free citizens cannot own AR's and other small arms yet this same group wants to sign a treaty to allow Iran (a country which supports terrorism and has called for the extermination of Israel) to have nuclear weapons.
