Really odd National Park Question
I really like Philly, and bike riding around the city. But, Philly being what it is, I don't go there unarmed. So, some of the nicest parts of Philly are around Independance Hall. Looking at the map;
http://www.nps.gov/PWR/customcf/apps...torical%20Park
I have the following questions. Just what is national park property and what is not? Some of the buildings within the park are privately owned, what about the streets (philly or NPS contolled)
I know I can't go into buildings armed, and as of thurs, we can't carry in a national park.
So, if I stay on the streets am in safe or am in the NPS no carry zone?

Re: Really odd National Park Question
I have heard, though I would take this with a grain of salt, since I have never confirmed this with the NPS, that NPS enforces state law on state rights of way through the park, which would presumably include city sidewalks and roads that transition through a park. This does mean, however, you must make your way through the park. My understanding is that if you remain on park property, you then subject yourself to park regulations.
