Thanks for the tip. I went to Midway and saw that Fiocchi primers are available. (1500 primers for $41) They limit you to 3 boxes (4500 primers) but the shipping is about $11 and there is a $22 dollar hazards fee as well.
It doesn't seem to be killer bad but I hate to pay that much for the shipping and handling.

I saw Wolf primers at the last Valley Forge show. My past experience is with Winchester, Remington, and CCI primers.

Can anyone give feedback on Federal, Fiocchi, and/or Wolf primers?

    Thanks in advance.

I am loading for two AR's.

I bought some wolf primers because the price was right, and more importantly, in stock.

In my 1st AR I am using wolf SRM primers for 55gr fmj plinking loads and have fired about 1000 rds so far with no problems.

My 2nd AR is a RRA NM A4. I have a scope mounted to facilitate load development. I have worked up 2 different loads, one with 77gr Sierra MK's for High Power Rifle and one with 60gr Nosler BT's for critters.

After working up the most accurate powder charge with Varget and Winchester SR primers I made up test batches for each bullet but swapped out the primers to see if I could tighten up the groups.

My current stock of SR primers is Win, Magtech, Wolf, Federal and Fed GM match. With the MK's the standard Federals gave the worst groups and the Wolfs gave me even tighter groups than the Winchesters.

With the Nosler BT's Magtech primers were the worst, but the Wolf primers again gave the best results.

Your results may differ, but I will not hesitate to use Wolf primers in the future.

I would like to try with CCI primers as well, but I don't have any and can't find any in stock so I'm working with what I have for now

I picked up a box of 1000 Wolf primers at the last Lebanon show for only $27.
I went through about 500 so far & every one went bang!

The ONLY things I've read about them are:
    1. They are "hotter" than a standard small pistol primer
    2. They are very slightly larger than other small pistol primers

That said, I've had NO issues seating them in many different brands of brass.
Seem to burn pretty clean to boot.

Last time I was at Richland Shooter's Supply in Lebanon they had some (about two months ago)....also Shyda's seemed very well stocked as well!
