Default Taking the old girl out for a ride ( CAR )

A couple of times a year I dust her off, Pull her out for a ride on a sunny day.
It is a 1969 Jaguar XJ6 with 70K original miles.
All original, Unrestored with nicks and chips to show her age,
I have had older cars, Newer cars, But this one just sleeps quietly in the garage and always stirs when ever I turn the key!
For the past 14 years or so I have had it, The only thing that has gone faulty was the generator due to bad bearings..... Sometimes Lucas treats your right!
Anyway, I just thought I would share!
Now lets see your old car!

In the lower Pic you can make out my Pop pop car, A 1995 Chevy caprice wagon, Police and Taxi package with a LT1 engine.
It may look like Grand pops car, But that Corvette LT1 sure comes to life when you introduce the right pedal to the floor.
Not a looker, But 24 mpg on highway, And will smoke them off the line real easy...
And pulls the camper real easy like for quick weekend get aways.

Beautiful Jag. Was 1969 the first year after the MK X? Also 4.2 with triple SU's right. I never had a Jag, yet, but I really miss my '73 TR6 especially this time of year.

MY babydoll. A 1978 Chevrolet Camaro LT. 305 4 speed manual transmission. Never been restored either. My father bought it the day I was born for 6,600 dollars brand new in 1978. FINALLY just gave it to me 31 years later.... She's having some transmission problems right now, hopefully I can make her well again so we can go play before winter's here.

She's not nearly as old as your Jag, which is a gorgeous car. She's only 25 this year and is currently being stripped down to be rebuilt as a street/track car. No drives anytime soon for this one, maybe by the end of next summer.

It is the Second year XJ6, Sports a 4.2 liter straight six with twin SUs, I think I've got the carbs right, Maybe Strombergs? Twin cam "Hemi" engine with factory dual exhaust,
It's a smooth ride with good power and handles very well.
She's been so good over the years,,, BUT it is time to balance the carbs, Needs it every 5 years or so.
    Thanks for the compliments!
Your others look like real fun too!
    Peter.
