Stupid Question
I just a used Rem 700 BDL and was wondering how to take out the bolt. There is no bolt release button and I can't squeeze the trigger to take out. Thanks

Re: Stupid Question
Check inside the trigger housing.. there should be a small button at the top and ahead of the trigger. Open the bolt all the way, press this button, and the bolt should come out.

Re: Stupid Question
The gun might have to be on safe to work the bolt. Check on the left side of the bolt there should be a small catch that you lift up which should release the blot from the rifle.

Re: Stupid Question
did you get it out? don't pull on the bolt while you are trying to press up on the release button as this will cause the two to bind against each other & you might think you aren't doing it right....open the bolt & all but stop short of pulling all the way back. press & hold button, continue pulling. I've seen a number of them in my day(and that ain't many) that were difficult due to clearance issues w/ the stock/inletting or bottom metal. most of them were BDLs IIRC
