Default I have a STUPID friend..

A friend of mine likes to drive around the country with another dimwit and idk what its called...spotting? Basically he shoots deer, turkeys w/e with I think a 30.30. Now I know this is like a mortal sin when it comes to hunting. Most of the time they just shoot it and leave which I think is even worse.

What kind of punishment comes with shooting a deer from a truck, and out of season to boot? I'm not sure if he has a hunting license but I don't think it would make much difference would it?

It's one thing to say hey man you get popped doing that your fucked...but when you say hey its 5000 fine and a X amount of days in jail is something that will make him think twice.

Its illegal, And I'm not certain on fine totals, But they could take his truck, weapon, and what ever else is in it at the time.

Best thing to do is call 1-888-PGC-8001 Turn in a poacher.
they're selling make believe and we don't buy that here

And don't be with him in the truck when he does get caught.

Oh and maybe find a new friend.

call the PGC and report him. its called POACHING
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

When I read the title, I KNEW I'd be left shaking my head.

    Here's a question:
What would you say to your "friend" if he were riding around at night holding up convenience stores?
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Oh man.... that's bad... I still chuckled though.

I gotta agree with others here. What he's doing is illegal, cruel and wasteful. That isn't someone I'd ever call friend.

We don't know your history with this guy, but I'd say at the very least... sever ties and maybe drop a tip to the local authorities.

Well they'll take your truck, gun(s), and the licenses of all occupants of the vehicle. Big fines are unavoidable as well. Oh and you wont be getting a hunting license for years or perhaps never. Poaching is a big problem in my area. It is a SERIOUS offense. If he is really your 'friend' remind him of how serious it really is. Not to mention simply how morally wrong it is, especially if they're just leaving them lay. If he doesn't quit, tip off the PA Game Commission, they'll get him in no time.

Dude, I mean this in the nicest possible way.... You really need to find a new group of people to hang out with. These people sound like morons and are NOT friends that you need in your life at your age, it will only lead to problems.
