disheartened/rant/what's happening to our country?

Why is it that I spent 45 minutes last night trying to convince another GUN OWNER that there is no registry of firearms on the state of Pennsylvania and then have to put up with degradation from an old hag how would pepper in phrases like "honey" to make me seem insignificant. We discussed the second amendment in general also and it is simply sad to me that other people who own guns or shoot feel this way. What's happening to this country when other gun owners aren't even pro gun? Feel free to share whatever your feelings are.

I have few feelings, yet I have more observations. Most people are ignorant of "the law" and do not attempt to educate themselves. There is nothing you can do about this. Want a good example that has nothing to do with guns, ask someone in Pennsylvania about common law marriage in PA... look it up for yourself first and enjoy.

I get into those discussions all the time !! It really is amazing that normal gun owners really have no conception of the actual firearm laws. most of them go by what they hear & read in the MSM and we all know how biased most of them are !

I know at least one life-long hunters who honestly believe that nobody 'needs' an assault rifle, therfore nobody should be allowed to have one. And anyone with more than 3 rifles and 2 handguns should be investigated recorded.

And he's a lifetime NRA supporter, has the sticker on the truck and everything.

I know a couple guys (brothers) who are very similar to this guy^^^^.

I was shocked when they told me their opinions on guns, OC/CC and the law.
