PA gun law books...
Hi all,
I just picked up my carry permit, and I asked the gentleman if they had any literature on applicable PA gun laws for my own reference. He said they usually have a little brown book that contains all of them, but they're in the process of printing a new version, and he didn't know when they'd get any. Does anyone know of a place to get one (current or new version)? Ideally, I'd like to get some literature that explain's PA's gun laws *in plain English* rather than the legal terminology of the actual laws. Thanks.
Chris

I have an 03 FFL (C&R) and the BATFE sends me regular updates of both federal and all the state firearms laws in two volumes, usually once a year. I'm not familiar with the little brown book you referenced.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”
~Samuel Adams
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it."

The ATF will mail you out a form...just go to their website and request the form. You need to let the local police dept. know that you are applying for your C&R license. Need to mail them a copy of the application I believe...it's been a couple of years since I applied.

Check Surplusrifles.com (collecting and shooting the military surplus rifle)
They will guide you through the steps necessary to get it.

Hmm... when I go to www.surplusrifles.com, I get redirected to www.hunting.com, which is currently down for routine maintenance...

I apologize for being somewhat computer illiterate but the above was copied and pasted here. I also did a search on the next line.

Chris17404,
Goto GlockTalk.com and register if you are not already. Then goto this post, http://tinyurl.com/kd59c.
Contact the member One Ragged Hole and request a copy of "Pennsylvania Laws Relating to Firearms". PM your name and address to him and he will send one from the PA State Representative office he works for.Do not worry about the bullet with your name on it. Instead, worry about the buckshot addressed, "To whom it may concern"
